Alzheimer’s disease is a slowly progressive neurological disease, with dementia symptoms worsening over time. After the diagnosis, the life expectancy of an Alzheimer’s patient is around 11-16 years. This irreversible and progressive brain disease slowly robs people of their memories and thinking skills. The atrophied brain, one by one starts to lose its functions, therefore people start experiencing memory loss and weakened cognitive skills. Sadly, with time patients end up losing the ability to speak, move etc.
Being active, keeping yourself always on the move can slow your cognitive decline. Who has had a loved one suffering from Alzheimer’s knows that coping with this particular disease is never easy? It’s time to make a difference and we want to be part of it. Raising awareness is always the first step! We want to help the people who are suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia, to get through difficult times.
